Born again A-B-C

The first steps after being born again through faith in Jesus Christ.

A.

Write down your testimony. Where were you, what did you do and what happened, what changed right after you decided to Follow Christ?

Being born again is not a statement, it is a complete transformation. While your flesh may stay the same your heart of stone is replaced. You are given a new spirit that is free from the shackles of sin and death that you were bound to. And your name is written in heaven - in the Lamb’s book of life.

The gift of Jesus Christ that you have been given is a gift that never stops giving; go back to what you have written and write down the rippling effect of your new life.

Bear witness of what Jesus Christ has done for you by sharing your testimony.

B.

Seek to know your Lord, Jesus Christ. Seeking the Lord is focusing your heart and mind on Him, setting your thoughts to the side and having faith that if you seek His presence you will find it. Learn to put Him first in all things; wake up an hour earlier and instead of reaching for your phone reach out to Him through prayer, reading the Bible and praise. Set aside time during the day where you actively search for Him in silence, put your faith towards the Light that is Jesus and let all thoughts pass you by.

Jesus Christ wants to have a close relationship with you, with your spirit through faith, but the world and your flesh will try its best to interfere. So turn your phone off, lock the door, remember your focus as you are tempted to do all kinds of other things.

C.

Learn and keep the Lord's commandments. Not as a set of rules you have to follow, but because your love of Jesus Christ demands it; as Jesus says in John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.”

  1. The mission commandment given to all Followers of Christ. (Mark 16:15)
  2. Keep your word, let your yes be yes and your no be no.
  3. Forgive your offenders as Jesus forgave you.
  4. Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind. And love your neighbor as yourself.

Stay on the narrow path my brother and sister.
